I like the  piece of Advantek at the top of the wall to connect the exterior sheathing with the drywall ceiling.

With an R-9 airtight exterior sheathing, the flash of foam on the inside becomes much less important.

I have had to air seal the attics of a couple of New England houses with the strapping on the ceiling - no fun.   I am from the mid-Atlantic and never saw this before and still can't figure out why they bother.
