Using Virtual Reality to Affect Energy Efficiency Behavior

Stanford professor Jeremy Bailenson talks about using virtual reality (VR) to affect behavioral energy efficiency programs. Jeremy was the keynote speaker at the Efficiency Exchange Conference held in Portland, OR. It is a bit long, but well worth the time to watch. I put on the virtual reality helmet, and it is indeed life-changing. The technology to create a virtual reality environment can be installed on a smart phone.

I think people want energy efficiency of some kind in their home, can they afford it?  I think economics play the biggest role.

Professor Bailenson's presentation begins 20 minutes into the above video.  Once the video opens, you can fast-forward to 20 minutes into the program.
