The National Home Performance Conference is where weatherization and home performance professionals gather to advance their building science techniques and skills, and hear what’s new in the industry, learning from a diverse group of presenters.
At this year’s conference, dedicated weatherization tracks will offer you the latest tools and information to effectively and efficiently perform your job!
The Weatherization Operations track is chock full of opportunities for crews, auditors, inspectors, and managers to learn new strategies when working and communicating with homeowners, as well as with fellow co-workers and field staff. You’ll receive important updates on WAP from DOE and NASCSP and the future of EA and QCI certifications- and hear from others across the country who are using innovative ways to improve program results and leverage funding.
The Weatherization Technical track offers specific tools for sizing heat systems, handling knob and tube, developing and adjusting workscopes, and using IR to diagnose air leakage, moisture problems, and insulation flaws. Session will discuss the latest on ASHRAE 62.2 and working in manufactured homes, and offer EA test-taking tips. Learn from experts how to solve the common issues you’re seeing in the field.
Additional, the conference offers specific building science content related to the Building Envelope, including addressing air and thermal boundaries, installing insulation, air sealing, and dealing with the good, bad, and ugly of crawlspaces. In the Diagnostics & Audits track you can improve your testing, measurement, diagnostic and repair knowledge- from current testing models to new technologies in the future of diagnostics.
Presenters in this track bring a wealth of knowledge, research and experience from being in the trenches- and present the experiences in illustrative, engaging formats. The conference agenda offers sessions for the beginner or office staff, to those experienced industry veterans. Learn from some of the best in the industry to give your career a boost and take your home performance comprehension to the next level!
