The Climate Accord

Posted on June 9, 2017 at 3:57pm 0 Comments

So first I would like to point out that our leaving the Climate Accord was foolish. It was a non binding agreement to begin with. We could chose or chose not to contribute as we saw fit. It was based on self policing. Leaving it does not really make sense and simply diminishes our leadership role globally in an arena we are quite capable of leading.

Neither Kyoto nor Paris ever had a chance of being ratified by the…

Will California AB 327 work?

Posted on November 12, 2013 at 1:30am 2 Comments

So I met a man from SDG&E the other day. It was a chance meeting as he was explaining to a customer how he was being charged for electricity. He was very informed and I picked his brain with a few question trying not to be to intrusive.  He explained some of the new changes in charges that will be forth coming. Flat rates for electricity in California

A little background.

The great Enron Crisis of 2000 caused sweeping changes in rates and how we as consumers we are charged…

Why I refuse to participate in Energy Upgrade California

Posted on October 11, 2013 at 2:59am 4 Comments

When I first heard of Energy Upgrade California I was excited. Energy upgrade packages for existing homes with rebates sounded awesome. I attended the ACI conference in LA which was the kick off. The event was interesting as we heard from program developers of how the program would be initiated. I also attended some orientation sessions at the CCSE. I liked what I heard. As my business is primarily residential repairs and upgrades I thought this would be a perfect fit.

What I have…

THANKS FOR YOUR AMBIT COMMENTS and I wanted to get back to you

I have been a senior Consultant with Ambit for well over 7 years. I am sure some compliants are justified and others are not. Ambit for example does not contorl Distribution & Transmission costs, ONLY the Energy side. But thanks and I am forwarding them to Ambit for thier review. Still a great company in my mind. Most companies that grow  from a start up to $1 billion in revenue in six years are bound to have some issues
