About Us

Home Energy Pros Forum is a social network and community dedicated to Home Energy professionals. Our purpose is to amplify the collective knowledge base of the Home Energy professional network by offering a space for sharing resources, education, and knowledge.

Home Energy Pros Forum offers blogs from industry leaders and peers, an interactive discussion forum, a calendar of upcoming industry events, and a library of resources about home energy efficiency.

Members are encouraged to participate in the forum. Open discussions about a wide range of home energy related topics provide members with the ability to connect with other home energy pros and learn from their experience with similar projects.

History

For many years, the home performance industry had two thriving online communities where members openly discussed topics such as energy efficiency, building science, professional education opportunities, field procedures, program best practices, codes and standards, sales, marketing and business systems.

Home Energy Pros (HEP) was a partnership between Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Home Energy Magazine, which began in 2010 with sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Energy and at its peak had nearly 6,000 members. The Home Performance Forum (HPF), later hosted by HPC, was a thriving community that started on LinkedIn in 2008.

In 2017, creating a collaborative online community for home energy professionals, the Home Performance Coalition (HPC) united these premier communities into one dynamic, global social network; the Home Energy Pros Forum.

Today, HPC proudly operates the Home Energy Pros Forum facilitating the ongoing exchange of ideas and information for the home performance and weatherization industry.

The Home Performance Coalition (HPC) is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that works with industry leaders in the home performance and weatherization industries. HPC collaborates with like-minded organizations to ensure all homes are healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient through projects, policy, communities and conferences. HPC also organizes educational events that bring together industry leaders to exchange ideas, solve problems and build momentum for the rapidly-growing residential energy efficiency industry.  For more information, please visit www.homeperformance.org
