Home Performance Field Technician needed in Midcoast Maine

Help make customers’ homes more energy efficient, safe, and comfortable. Technician delivers weather sealing, moisture remediation, insulation, and other retrofit services and installations.

Technician is highly motivated to work, effective in a team work environment and committed to safety. Preferred skills include construction power tools and methods, weatherization services, and knowledge of basic building science. Technician interfaces with the public and customers in courteous manner and presents a neat appearance on the work site.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Following all safety & industry protocols
  • Installing energy efficiency upgrades in homes, including 2-part foam applications, caulking & sealing, blown-in cellulose, weatherstripping, attic and basement hatch construction, vapor barrier installation, basement and perimeter drainage services, vent installation, hot water pipe & heat duct insulation
  • Loading/unloading trucks; tool maintenance; warehouse stocking

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in hot & cramped environments (e.g. attics and crawlspaces)
  • Ability to work in cold outdoor environments
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to wear respirator
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 35 lb., occasionally 50 lb.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Class C driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour
