State of Florida Recognizes BPI as Rating System Provider

Effective July 1, 2013, the Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) will be recognized as one of a few selected entities authorized to provide a building energy-efficiency rating system in the State of Florida. Looking forward to attending the Energy Professionals Forum at the SEBC in Orlando. Anxious to see how aggressive and timely BPI is going to be with respect to the implementation of their Florida building energy rating system and support for its existing Certified Professionals in the Sunshine State during this window of opportunity.

Gerald, I'm curious of any light way? spread at the meeting. Will this new change open up any more opportunities there in Florida? Do other utility companies plan on adopting any new programs for EE work within the state, and will the new DOE HEP certifications come into play? I'm anxious to find out. Maybe this will help others to adopt HPwES within the state.Thank you.
