AirCycler is excited to share that we have recently launched a new version of our Annual Ventilation Cost Calculator. Now, in addition to comparing the estimated annual energy cost of operating different AirCycler systems, you can also compare the estimated costs of operating an HRV or ERV (stand-alone and tied to the furnace).

Calculations can be made using basic information about the home or with custom, detailed specifications. The tool continues to be a valuable resource for builders, installers and homeowners considering different ventilation solutions and comparing the system cost versus energy savings.

Building on The (Small) Cost of Ventilation Without Recovery, we have been able to use these new calculator features to further examine the benefits, and payoff, of purchasing and operating a ventilation system with recovery versus without recovery. To simplify the data we've created this infographic and considered the cost of purchasing, installing, and operating an AirCycler g2 system versus an HRV - and how much a homeowner may or may not actually save with recovery. As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts/feedback.
