Good afternoon everyone,
I was reviewing some of the old BPI newsletters and noticed a stump-the-chump about the interactive effects on energy savings with building envelope measures last July and August.
The cliff notes version: a home had a mess of building envelope measures installed. Customer saw no energy savings. Customer subsequently had mechanicals replaced (furnace/WH) and usage dropped 60%.
I am hoping someone in this community is aware of any white papers or similar, formal publications to back this up. Thanks in advance everyone.
Yes I see this with return in attic or boiler way out of tune or AC compressor valves out or gas leaks or low on charge in AC units. But you want a paper on this or formal paper? I just put it in the load I run - each job changes each time you have a change.
