I am trying to find out which are good brands for furnace.

I tried to google, but can't find proper answer.

Please let me know, if I want to change my furnace, which brand is good and how does it perform for cost to value.

I know only Rheem. I need some comparison.

How long does furnace usually last ? DO the long lasting furnaces perform well after 10 yrs or so ?

10 Tips for Hiring a Heating and Cooling Contractor

If you have a dry basement, your furnace can last well beyond 10 years and perform well too.

Quality installation is important, probably more important than the brand. Check if your local utility has a program to encourage energy efficient furnaces and has a list of trade allies they recommend. Get several quotes from local HVAC contractors. Insist a sizing calculation is done. Don't go for oversizing and make sure the installation includes proper adjustment of the furnace fan so that your central air conditioning has the proper level of dehumidification with your climate. Your HVAC installer should check that recommendations harmonize with your natural gas piping and your ductwork. Discuss electrical saving opportunities with ECM motors. Look for rebates offered in your area which will point to energy-saving models of furnaces.

Its more about the install and air flow than the box brand,  Most brands about the same if you get higher end not the builder grade.  Most brands use the same TXV's same compressor same gas valve same blower motors same Inducer motors.  To keep units running a long time with out brake down have a lot of filter size small static presser with in listed on side, set gas presser right, good ground, good power supply, flue with in speck,  and thermostat set right,  sized right with in 115% of ACCA mj,  of air handler/furnace.    I have seen 4 week old furnaces burn up with lack of air flow.  I have 93% furnaces last 40 years with some repair and very good set up and tune up each year.  I have a 12 seer heat pump installed in 1985 and at that time was the highest made eer made
