Where would the construction be? Are you considering a high performance construction (Passive House, LEED Platinum, Energy Star etc)?

Happy to pass along our experiences and locations of similar projects we've been involved with throughout the US.

Feel free to email.

Thanks,

Luke

All, is an interest to our organization. We are a seed organization and we want to be able, to develop, provide housing and employment. Please send any information, "We need informed information," to make concrete decisions, because we are relying on loans and grants.

We are using local community banks to transition a blighted trailer park into Tiny House Village. In addition, City interested in providing funds for expansion for their affordable housing on our empty parcel

Hi Suzett, Better Buildings Residential Network posted this case study on financing multifamily energy upgrades: https://energy.gov/eere/better-buildings-residential-network/downlo...

Funding for affordable housing is primarily through Tax Credits.  Companies pool investor money and provide growth for the investor via a federal tax credit.

These programs are funded via a state agency.  In Kansas it is the Kansas Housing Resource Corporation (KHRC).  This name will vary by state.  They grant tax credits for restoration of historic buildings include housing, new construction etc.  Find your state agency via Google.  Find local projects by locating subsidized and low income housing.

KS has Architectural Guidelines, that include some energy requirements. Most of the funding is awarded on some type of a project application.  KS has some competition with HERS Scores.  Some of the projects are required to meet Energy Star 3.0.  Most are multi-family.
