The course is designed for plumbing and HVAC contractors and will include instruction on how to successfully specify, sell and install residential solar water heating systems. The four-day training will include classroom instruction as well as hands-on experience with system components and software tools. Special attention will be paid to Energy Trust Installation Requirements as well as Solar Rating and Certification Corporation standards to inform attendees how to install solar water heating systems that qualify for Energy Trust cash incentives and the state and federal tax credits.

Tuition for the training is $995 and includes:

  • 32 hours of technical classroom and hands-on training
  • State approved continuing education credits for licensed plumbers
  • A certificate of completion for the training hours needed to sit for the Solar Heating NABCEP EL exam (exam registration is not included in the tuition)
