Event Description

MEEA Technical Webinar Series: ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient

Date: Thursday, September 20, 2011
Time: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM CDT

Presenter:
Environmental Protection Agency

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently launched a new pilot within the ENERGY STAR program.  “Most Efficient 2011” recognizes products that are the most energy-efficient in their categories among those that have earned the ENERGY STAR label.  In 2011, refrigerators, clothes washers, televisions, and heating, cooling and ventilation equipment are included in the pilot.

The new designation of Most Efficient aims to provide manufacturers with an incentive for greater product energy efficiency while providing consumers new information about the products that comprise the top tier in the categories.

Join us on September 20th from 10:30 -11:30 AM CDT as Katharine Kaplan of the EPA discusses the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient pilot.  She will share information on the drivers for the program, program status, and next steps.  Learn more about this pilot and how your organization can incorporate Most Efficient in your energy efficiency initiatives.
