Event Description

This 1-month online Manual-D Training course will provide you with a solid overview of Manual-D concepts, as well as a thorough training on Wrightsoft's Right-D and Draw modules. This class offers the same material we typically deliver in our physical classes, plus even more! It's by-far the most advanced online Manual-D Training available!

We'll cover unique topics such as:

  1. Defining your ductwork materials and components
  2. Specifying available static pressure
  3. Differences between constant-friction and variable-friction rates
  4. Reading equipment blower charts
  5. Specifying equipment in Wrightsoft
  6. Manual-T basics (Where's the best place to put those terminations?)
  7. How to determine Throw and Spread of different terminations
  8. Zoning (including bi-level zoning) ductwork
  9. Specifying risers in Wrightsoft
  10. And more!

A properly calculated Manual J load calculation, "right sized" equipment, and a Manual D duct design are critical components of high performance heating and air systems. This class teaches participants how to properly size HVAC distribution systems using ACCA Manual D duct design protocol using a free trial version of Wrightsoft HVAC design software.  This class appropriate for HVAC contractors, builders, architects, HERS raters, maintenance professionals and home inspectors.
