Intro to Houses That Work:
In this session participants learn how the many complex changes in home design, building materials, mechanical systems, appliances, consumer lifestyles and expectations over the last 30 years makes every builder's, supplier's and trade contractor's job more complex and demanding. This segment outlines the basic building science physics of air, heat and moisture flow that every builder should know so they can understand why some buildings work and others don't.
In this intensive session, participants will learn:

• Protecting Building Systems
• Foundations
• Mechanical Systems - Conditioning the Indoors
• Indoor Air Quality and Other Mechanical Opportunities

Selling High Performance Homes
This presentation applies proven sales techniques to the task of helping attendees educate home buyers on the technical features of energy efficiency and building science. This fast-paced and engaging workshop explores examples, case studies and role play scenarios relevant to custom and large volume builders. Learn how to draw upon the successes of many builders who have already realized the benefits of Selling High Performance Homes.
• Learn to develop sales plans to help clients make informed decisions about high performance homes
• Translate the technical features of high performance home benefits that home buyers can understand and value
• Integrate the technical features of new homes into existing sales and marketing plans
• Use technical language of high performance homes to enhance sales confidence
