Event Description

Everblue's BPI Building Analyst & IDL combo perfectly aligns with the training requirements for BPI's Building Analyst and Infiltration & Duct Leakage certifications. The Building Performance Institute (BPI) is a standard-bearer in the home performance industry and rose to prominence by defining the education and experience needed to excel in the energy efficiency workforce. This BPI training course is a combination of our popular BPI Building Analyst prep course mixed with the brand new BPI Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL) certification training. During this course, you'll learn how to use diagnostic equipment, such as blower door, duct blaster, and carbon monoxide detector, to perform a comprehensive home energy audit inspection!

Course Description: The BPI energy auditor training course prepares individuals to understand the various components of building science, including combustion safety, blower door testing, energy analysis, and home performance assessments. At successful completion of the course, students should have the knowledge to identify areas of improvement within a home, providing homeowners with the information necessary to reduce energy usage and costs.

This combo course will allow you to earn two BPI certifications in 1 class and qualify for utility-sponsored incentive programs and rebates as they come out. This is the best introduction to energy auditing you will find!

Audience: This course is ideal for builders, insulators, home inspectors, code officials, HVAC technicians, general contractors, home builders, electricians, students, and anyone else interested in understanding the "house-as-a-system" concept or looking for a career in home energy auditing.

There are no prerequisites for this training. The BPI Building Analyst & IDL combo is the perfect starting point for beginners to the home performance and energy auditing industries.

What's Included:

  • 2 days of building science classroom training
  • 1 1/2 days of live, hands-on field training at a nearby home
  • 100 BPI practice questions
  • BPI Building Analyst Technical Standards
  • BPI Building Analyst written exam
